Head of Department - English

Reddish Vale HighSchool are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, committed and ambitious Headof Department. The successful candidate will display a real passion forlearning and the teaching of English, with proven experience of leadership andteaching across KS3 and 4.

As Head of Department, youwill:

• be accountable for student progress and developmentwithin the subject area;
• develop and enhancethe curriculum implementation and pedagogical development of others;
• ensure the provision of an appropriately broad,balanced and ambitious curriculum for students studying English
• be accountable for leading, managing and developingthe subject/curriculum area;
• effectively manage and deploy teaching, supportstaff, financial and physical resources within the Subject area to support the improvementplan.
