Department: Sales Travel Required: Yes Greater Manchester

Position Type: Full- time

Level/Salary Range: @£26 to 30k + Uncapped Commission OTE £40k and fully expensed Company Car.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Due to continued success in their development of the UK Retail sector, My client is looking to recruit an additional sales person (Area Manager) acquire new accounts and conduct the initial on-boarding to maximize customer retention in the retail/convenience sector, with accounts located in Manchester and the North West, currently one of their most productive areas. The role is a good mixture of servicing existing customers (60pct) and developing new (40pct). This is a solutions sales role where you will be working over several categories selling into a mix of independent retail convenience stores, decision makers/franchisees at independent symbol groups, such as Nisa, Londis, Spar, Best one and independently managed forecourts and stores within groups, such as MFG and Euro Garages.

This is an exciting role that would suit someone who is result driven, dynamic with the ability to open doors and inspire customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Selling their non-food range into our Retail customers
• Achieving new business within both sectors through direct prospecting
• Using customer data to develop and grow customer turnover to achieve sales targets
• Grow share of wallet / category development within existing customer base, though regular visits to customers to identify further sales opportunities and selling across our range
• Hitting your individual objectives whilst equally contributing to the team's goals and targets in terms of revenue and profitability
• Work closely with Sales executives to maintain customer retention on your area
• Engage internal and external contacts

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Previous Sales or Account management experience required, in the FMCG Sector

Education: GCSE or Equivalent

Strong leadership, excellent communication and analytical skills.

Self-Management and a get up and go attitude.
