Fixed-Term Contract
Part-time: 30 Hours per week (3 days)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ECVN/ACVIM-Neurology residency trained/board eligible or diplomate neurology clinician to join our large, diplomate led supportive team for a 12 month fixed term position. The proposed start date is mid-December onwards.
Eastcott Veterinary Referrals are based in Swindon close to the beautiful Cotswolds and the North Wessex Downs Area of natural beauty. We are a veterinary clinic and referral multi-disciplinary hospital that offers the highest care services for small animals. With our primary care and 24-hour emergency services, we care for pets from all over the south of England and beyond.
We believe excellence is at the heart of both clinical standards and customer service to make sure our patients and clients have the best quality care. We have modern equipment including a purpose-built ICU, radiography, ultrasonography, fluoroscopy, electrodiagnostic equipment, wireless ambulatory EEG, ultrasonic aspirator for tumour removal, a neurology procedures room, AI-enabled Phillips MR5300 MRI, 64-slice CT and in-house 3D printing capability.
The successful candidate will join our established neurology team, already consisting of four neurologists and a neurology intern who works under the direct supervision of the neurology clinicians. We have regular neurology journal clubs, neuroimaging rounds and access to a range of Linnaeus-wide training opportunities including continuing professional development. OOH requirement is 1 in 4 weekends and weekdays, supported by the in-house ECC service.
Completion of a neurology residency (ECVN or ACVIM-Neurology) is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, eligibility to work in the UK, membership (or eligibility) of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a valid driving license.
Closing date for applications is midnight on the 11th October 2026.
Interviews will take place in late October.
The successful candidate will adopt a position within our team of three Neurologists during an exciting time of expansion. The neurology service is well supported by our anaesthesia, imaging, cardiology, ophthalmology and internal medicine services. You would benefit from working within a multidisciplinary hospital with frequent opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. Facilities at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals are excellent, and include on-site 64-slice CT, on-site 1.5T MRI with dedicated induction suite, EEG, EMG and fluoroscopy. We also have in-house 3D printing available.
We are looking for a neurologist who is committed to excellence in both inpatient care and in communication with clients, colleagues and referring vets.
At Linnaeus, we are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all our Associates. We have an amazing team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across our practices and central support office in addition to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme which is available for everyone.
