Recruitment Consultant

Experienced Recruitment Consultant

Build your desk. Grow your career. Enjoy the journey.

If you're an experienced recruiter with strong experience of permanent recruitment who enjoys the buzz of a busy desk but wants to feel more valued (and better rewarded for it), this could be the move you've been looking for. Based in Stockport town centre, we're an award winning business looking to expand the permanent recruitment side of the team.

There's a salary up to 32,000 (OTE 50,000), a fantastic benefits package (including holidays that increase to 30 days + BH), and, importantly, a genuine career.

With over 45 years of success and Investors in People Gold status, we've built our reputation by looking after people. You'll be joining a team that works hard, supports each other, and knows how to enjoy the wins along the way.

The Role

This is a role where no two days look the same (in a good way). You'll be balancing business development with consultative recruitment-building relationships, solving hiring challenges, and matching great candidates with the right opportunities.

It's fast-paced and target-driven, but not cutthroat. The focus is on doing things properly, building long-term partnerships, and celebrating success as a team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Growing your desk through a mix of new business and client development
• Working on a wide range of office support based permanent roles
• Speaking with and meeting clients to really understand what they need (not just filling jobs)
• Sourcing and building relationships with high-quality candidates
• Keeping your pipeline active and moving
• Working closely with marketing to make the most of warm leads
• Managing a varied client base across the North West
• Hitting targets-and being recognised when you do

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a similar recruitment consultant role
• Someone who enjoys the sales side of recruitment but also values relationships
• Confident, personable communication skills
• A proactive, "pick up the phone and make it happen" mindset
• Organised, adaptable, and able to juggle a busy workload
• A team player who's happy to share ideas (and wins)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

What You'll Get

• Salary up to 32,000 (DOE) with OTE of 50,000
• 24 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 29), plus your birthday off
• Monthly commission, plus quarterly & annual bonuses and profit share
• Pension, life assurance & healthcare scheme
• Attendance bonus
• Early finish on Fridays and no weekends or late nights
• Incentives, competitions and regular team events
• One paid charity day each year
• Free parking
• Real career progression (not just a line in the advert)

If you're looking for a role where you can do well, feel supported, and actually enjoy coming into work, it's worth a conversation.
