Coffee Shop Supervisor, Permanent 40hpw (including bank holidays and weekends), £32,305.00 per annum, plus staff benefits

Lowry is a visual and performing arts venue situated at the heart of MediaCityUK in Salford, one of the world's most exciting culture and media destinations.

We are looking for a Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead day-to-day service in Lowry Coffee Shop and help make it a warm, welcoming and consistent part of the wider visitor experience. This is a practical, customer-facing role with a strong focus on daytime trading, coffee quality and supporting the team through busy and changing periods of demand.

You will lead from the floor, maintaining high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and product delivery. Working with the Restaurant and Coffee Shop Manager, you will help shape a relevant and commercially strong offer, ensure promotions are delivered effectively and use customer feedback and operational insight to support continuous improvement.

A key part of the role is developing confidence and capability across the team. You will support new starters, deliver practical barista training and help maintain consistent coffee standards wherever coffee is served across Lowry. You will also work closely with colleagues in the restaurant, retail, galleries, learning and engagement, and front of house to provide a joined-up experience for our visitors.

If you have experience supervising a busy hospitality operation, care about product quality and enjoy helping people deliver their best work, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible difference to both our team and our visitors.

The role has a number of staff benefits including:

  • Complimentary and discounted theatre and live event tickets.
  • Free car parking just a few minutes' walk from the Lowry building.
  • Paid day off for your birthday.
  • Discounts at the bars, restaurant and gift shop located within the Lowry building.
  • Access to Lowry's Wellbeing Hub and to other health and wellbeing services, including counselling, physiotherapy and remote GP appointments.
  • Group Life Assurance Scheme.

Please note that MediaCityUK is a well-connected destination with a variety of different transport options - bus, car, tram and bike.

The application deadline for this vacancy is 13th October 2026.

Interviews will be on 22nd October 2026

Lowry is committed to creating an inclusive workforce by reflecting and representing the diversity of Salford and the UK. We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of Lowry - whether that is to work in our creative or support roles. We particularly encourage applications from the following two people groups who are currently under-represented in our work force and in the wider performing and visual arts sector; those people who experience racism and marginalisation, including those from African, Caribbean, North African, LatinX, South Asian, East Asian and South East Asian heritage and their diasporas, those who are disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent or have long-term health conditions.
