Credit Controller

CMA Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a well-established services business in Portsmouth to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary basis for the next few months.

The business is known for its stable workforce and friendly, supportive working environment. This is a great opportunity to join an established team, with excellent onsite facilities and the potential for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Managing and collecting aged and current debtor accounts, ensuring timely resolution.
• Building positive relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate prompt payments.
• Handling credit queries and negotiating payment arrangements.
• Conducting credit assessments and supporting financial risk management activities.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of credit control processes in a dynamic environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in credit control, with strong knowledge of debt collection strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage workload within deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and solution-oriented with a proactive approach.
• Demonstrates professional integrity and an aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
