Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles, considering factors like distance, traffic, delivery windows, and vehicle capacity.
Utilize route optimization software and mapping tools to create efficient and dynamic route plans.
Collaborate remotely with dispatchers and drivers to communicate route information, provide real-time updates, and resolve any on-road issues.
Analyze delivery performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in route planning strategies.
Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen disruptions, such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of planned routes, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
Requirements
Proven experience in route planning , logistics coordination, or transportation management.
Proficiency with route optimization software (e.g., RouteXL, OptimoRoute, or similar) and mapping tools (e.g., Google Maps, Waze).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective remote collaboration.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
A good understanding of general transportation principles and logistics challenges.
