Nursery Sales Executive

This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious specialist nursery at the start of a significant period of investment and growth.

I am recruiting on behalf of an ambitious and extremely well-backed specialist tree nursery in Bedfordshire, which is undergoing an exciting transformation.

The ambition is to develop the nursery into one of the UK's leading suppliers of semi-mature trees and landscape products, supplying landscapers, developers and retailers across the country.

As part of that growth, I am looking to recruit a Nursery Sales Executive who can help to develop existing customer relationships, generate new opportunities and play a key role in the nursery's commercial development.

This is an opportunity to join a business at a formative stage of its journey and help shape how its commercial operation develops.

The Role

Working from the nursery in Bedfordshire, you will manage and develop relationships across a varied customer base, including landscapers, developers, contractors and retail customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing enquiries from initial contact through quotation, order and completed sale.
• Preparing commercial quotations and proactively following up opportunities.
• Providing customers with knowledgeable advice on trees, planting and aftercare.
• Working closely with the nursery operations team to ensure stock is selected, prepared and delivered to the required standard.
• Maintaining accurate sales information and working within appropriate company governance processes.
• Representing the nursery professionally during customer meetings, site visits and visits to the nursery.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships and wants to contribute to the growth of a business.

You are likely to have:

• Previous experience within sales, account management or business development.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness and the confidence to identify new opportunities.A proactive approach to developing business and following up enquiries.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• A genuine focus on customer service.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience within horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture or the nursery sector would be advantageous.
