Job Advert: Facilities Officer (Temporary Position)

Location: Chatham

Contract Type: Temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent

Hourly Rate: 12.73 - 13.77 depending on experience

Working Pattern: 6am - 1:30pm or 1:30pm - 8pm, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a professional front-of-house service, welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments
• Raising and log maintenance and facilities requests accurately using internal systems, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate team
• Conducting regular inspections of the premises to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Coordinating maintenance and repair work, liaising with contractors to ensure timely completion
• Managing the day-to-day facilities operations, including waste management and health and safety compliance
• Supporting the organisation's events and activities by setting up spaces and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources
• Assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures related to facility management

Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for an individual who possesses:

• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with staff and contractors
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Relevant experience in facilities management or a similar role is preferred but not essential
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Note: This role is temporary, and candidates must be available for full-time hours.
