Business Support Officer needed in Stroud

This is a temporary role and the rate is £12.71ph PAYE

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive business support to the Building Control service, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and confidently deputising for the Team Leader when required. They will manage fee reconciliation, raise purchase orders and invoices, prepare service reports, and accurately register and process applications using relevant systems.

They will handle customer enquiries across phone, email and face‑to‑face channels, record site inspection requests, and maintain high‑quality electronic records through scanning and data input. Bringing strong communication skills, excellent IT capability and a proactive, flexible approach, they will demonstrate sound judgement, effective workload management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes.
