Weekend ECC Veterinary Surgeon - Greater Manchester

Weekend ECC Veterinary Surgeon - Manchester

Part-Time | Weekend Only | Permanent | Up to £80,000 FTE DOE

Want to build your ECC experience without giving up your weekends-or your weekday role?

This flexible Weekend ECC Veterinary Surgeon opportunity in Manchester offers a genuinely adaptable way to develop emergency and critical care skills within a busy, referral-standard hospital.

Why Apply?

• Up to £80,000 FTE DOE
• 1 in 2, 1 in 4 or 1 in 8 weekends
• Saturday-only or Sunday-only options available
• 8-hour weekend shifts
• Excellent ECC development and clinical support

The Role

The team is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and supportive Weekend ECC team.

Previous ECC experience is not essential. The role is ideal for a GP Vet looking to build emergency and critical care confidence, as well as experienced ECC Vets seeking flexible additional work.

Many weekend vets have a weekday veterinary role elsewhere, making this an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a varied emergency and critical care caseload alongside existing commitments.

The team can also discuss:

• Additional weekday shifts
• Permanent or fixed-term contracts
• Flexible patterns around family commitments or another veterinary role

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• RCVS registration
• Solid first-opinion experience
• Confidence in consultations and routine surgery
• An interest in ECC and clinical development
• A collaborative approach to patient care

Benefits

• RCVS & VDS fees paid
• Generous CPD allowance + 450+ courses
• Fully funded CertAVP/PgCert opportunities
• Up to 33 days' holiday + buy/sell option
• Pension and health cash plan
• Enhanced family leave and wellbeing support
• 50% staff pet care discounts
