Sales Operations Team Leader

JLA is driven by a world class Sales & Marketing engine, owns and maintains all assets, and has an efficient on-site operations team working with daily with customers.

Role overview

Manage the creation of customer orders across Total Care, Machine Sales, SCONs, Service Replacement and Detergent Pumps including all mobilisation, from receipt of order through to Installs or CMT, order type dependant.

Manage a Sales Ops order processing team and develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, measured by and managed to clear performance metrics.

Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Contracts Management colleagues to meet business and customer order processing expectations.

Collaborate with the Install team leaders to ensure smooth running of the wider New Business Delivery Team.

Act as an ambassador, demonstrating our values and commitment to our vision through behaviours and people leadership.

Key tasks

Manage your team to deliver customer orders within SLA objectives across all assigned verticals and segments, proactively driving efficiency in collaboration with Sales, Installs and Supply Chain colleagues.

Manage develop and improve the QC roles and requirements within the team.

Lead the mobilisation of new contracts, assigning resource to coordinate multi-functional teams to ensure effective order processing and account set-up on operational platforms.

Develop talent within your team, fostering a culture of high-quality delivery and commitment to excellence, demonstrated through high-quality standards e.g. data quality, rejection rates, etc. Guide, coach, develop, empower and motivate the team.

Communicate effectively with sales on order expectations for week, month and year end targets. Including forecasting order volumes and dependencies / impacts on other teams.

Knowledge and Skills

• People management including performance management, coaching and development
• Collaboration skills across multiple teams including supply chain, sales, finance and contacts Management.
• Understanding of JLA propositions, sectors and segments
• Understanding of Continuous Improvements methods to drive operational excellence across Order to Cash process
• Understanding forecasted orders to ticking them to the board
• Understanding of JLA systems utilised in credit checking

Experience

• Coaching, leading, developing and inspiring direct reports
• Experience of performance management including managing under-performance as well as developing and empowering talent.
• Proven experience of managing an administration team
• Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, with the capability to maximise use of management information to drive order processing, process efficiencies and operational improvement
• Demonstrated experience of challenging the status quo and pursuing innovation and continuous improvement in operating processes
• Experience of being focused on leading a team to achieve business objectives including team performance monitoring and management e.g. corrective actions, etc.
• Experience of operational excellence
