Data Analyst

Moon Commerce Limited is a UK-registered technology company building and operating digital ventures across commerce, consulting, property and SaaS. We trade online, advise businesses on digital transformation and data-driven marketing, and are developing an AI-powered automation platform that turns repetitive processes into scalable systems.

We’re small and early-stage, which means the person in this role will see the whole business rather than one corner of it.

The role

Our data currently lives in separate places — sales platforms, ad accounts, client reporting, and internal systems. You’ll bring it together and turn it into reporting the team actually uses to make decisions.

This is a hands‑on role with direct mentoring from the leadership team. You won’t be maintaining someone else’s dashboards; you’ll be building the reporting layer from the ground up.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain dashboards covering trading performance, marketing spend and client delivery
• Extract, clean and join data from multiple sources
• Turn business questions into analysis, and analysis into recommendations people can act on
• Own weekly and monthly reporting across our ventures
• Support pricing, inventory and campaign decisions with evidence
• Document your work so it survives you

Your first three months

• Month 1: learn the ventures, map where every data source lives, fix the reporting that’s most broken
• Month 2: ship your first dashboard into weekly use
• Month 3: Own the monthly reporting pack end to end

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on SQL experience
• Python (pandas) or strong Excel, plus Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio
• At least one project you can walk us through end to end and defend the decisions in
• Clear written and spoken English; you’ll present to non‑technical people
• Attention to detail and a habit of checking your own numbers
• Right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorship
• Able to work from our (area) office 2 days a week

Nice to have

• GA4, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central or similar
• Any exposure to Git

What we offer

• Salary £35,000-£39,000 depending on experience
• 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 UK bank holidays
• Office closed between Christmas and New Year
• Workplace pension with (15 )% employer contributions)
• Hybrid working - 2 days a week at our (area) office, 37.5 hours, permanent
• £(3750) annual learning budget for courses and certifications
• Direct mentoring from the leadership team and exposure across every venture
• Real ownership of your work and a short path to broader responsibility

Hiring process

• 20-minute introductory call
• 45-minute technical conversation including a short SQL exercise
• 30-minute conversation with the founding team

We aim to give a decision within a week of the final stage, and we give feedback either way.

Reporting to: Technology Lead

Visa sponsorship: We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK.

Equal opportunities

Moon Commerce is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and make hiring decisions on merit. If you need any adjustment to the application or interview process, tell us and we’ll arrange it.
