Are you a dedicated Private Client Solicitor looking for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, growing law firm? Our client is seeking a motivated Private Client Solicitor to join their expanding team in Tranent, Galashiels, or Hawick. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and plenty of opportunities to develop your legal expertise within a supportive environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, executry administration, trust management, and estate planning.
• Handling residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear and practical communication.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with Law Society of Scotland regulations, AML procedures, and firm policies.
• Supporting business development initiatives to enhance the firm’s reputation in the local community.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in Scotland with 0-5+ years PQE.
• Experience managing private client matters with confidence.
• Knowledge of residential conveyancing preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Approachable, proactive, and professional attitude.
• Desirable: Private client specialist experience, supervisory skills, and a keen interest in business development.
