  • In-house laboratory suite
  • Recently upgraded ultrasound and endoscopy equipment
  • A highly skilled and supportive nursing team

We also offer a range of additional services including acupuncture, physiotherapy and extensive nurse clinics. The practice is PSS scheme accredited and an ECC certificate holder.

Your week

This is a 4-day-per-week position, with weekends initially on a 1:7 rota, including Saturday morning consultations and inpatient duties.

  • 2 × 9am–6pm consulting days
  • 1 × 9am–7pm operations/inpatient day
  • 1 × 8am–4pm second operations day

We’re happy to discuss how the role could work around your clinical interests and experience.

Meet the team

You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team made up of:

  • 6 Veterinary Surgeons
  • 10 RVNs
  • 1 PCA
  • 9 Client Care Associates across our two branches.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is:

  • A supportive team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Confident making clinical decisions and interpreting diagnostic results
  • Comfortable managing a varied and occasionally complex caseload
  • Able to explain clinical findings and treatment options clearly and compassionately to clients
  • Adaptable and practical, with the ability to tailor treatment plans to individual patients
  • Interested in developing their clinical skills and contributing to the continued growth of the practice
  • Calm and confident when managing challenging situations
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about doing the best for their patients, their clients and their colleagues.

Life at Victoria Vets

Glossop also offers excellent transport links, with a direct train to Manchester taking around 30 minutes, while Sheffield is approximately a 50-minute drive from both sites. It’s a great place to build a career without giving up the lifestyle that comes with living somewhere beautiful.

  • 5 weeks’ holiday, plus bank holidays and your birthday off
  • Relocation support
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Employer pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Electric car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Enhanced family leave

Victoria Vets is part of Linnaeus and Mars Veterinary Health, the largest family-owned veterinary company in the world. At Linnaeus, A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS starts with a better world for our people. Our Associates are over 6000 strong and empowered to speak up, step up and deliver quality services. You’ll have access to a huge network of specialists, worldwide development opportunities and an easily accessible, comprehensive wellbeing package that prioritises your physical and mental health, allowing you to focus on what you do best – care for pets. We are committed to fostering a culture that is inclusive and diverse, we care about you and want you to be authentic, with everything you need to perform at your best. We are all individual but two important things bring us together: a commitment to excellence and our passion to achieve our purpose.
