Polytec are looking for a hands-on Lead Manufacturing Technician for our client based near Royston. You will help build, test and improve advanced electromechanical products while leading a team of technicians to deliver quality, safety and productivity targets.
This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise with team leadership, working closely with engineering and production teams in a fast-growing technology business.
Responsibilities
Leading and supporting a team of manufacturing technicians
Building, testing, repairing and upgrading electromechanical equipment
Driving quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshooting manufacturing and product issues
Developing and improving assembly processes and documentation
Supporting technician training and skills development
Helping deliver production targets in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Experience in a manufacturing or production technician role
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
Strong electromechanical assembly and fault-finding skills
Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
