An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Locum Solicitor to provide support to a busy and well-established Private Client team while a permanent recruitment process is undertaken.

The firm is seeking a capable and experienced lawyer who can start as soon as possible and assist for a number of months. The role is expected to fall outside IR35 and offers flexibility alongside a supportive working environment.

The caseload is predominantly focused on probate and estate administration, together with some trust matters. There will also be occasional wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney work, although these form a relatively small part of the overall workload.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing probate and estate administration matters
• Advising executors, beneficiaries and families throughout the administration process
• Handling trust-related matters
• Drafting wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney where required
• Providing practical and commercially focused advice
• Progressing files efficiently and maintaining high standards of client care
• Managing matters with minimal supervision

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong non-contentious private client experience
• Significant experience in probate and estate administration
• Knowledge of trust administration and related matters
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• The ability to hit the ground running and manage a caseload independently

The firm is ideally looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 3 days per week, with Wednesday to Friday availability preferred. Some office attendance will be required each week, ideally 1-2 days in the office, with the remainder worked remotely.
