WeareworkingwithaninnovativeandgrowingbiotechinCambridgeseekinganexperiencedPreclinicalManagertojointheirscientificteam.

Youwilloverseeateamofscientists,providescientificandtechnicaldirection,andremaincloselyinvolvedinthelaboratory.Youwillleadthedesignandexecutionofinvivostudies,interpretdataandworkcloselywithseniorleadershiptohelpshapeprogrammestrategy.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadandoverseeateamofpreclinical/invivoscientists.
• Manage,mentoranddevelopteammembersandoverseeworkloadsandpriorities.
• Design, execute and interpret invivopreclinicalstudies .
• Takeownershipofstudiesfromexperimentaldesignthroughtodatainterpretation.
• Use preclinical data to influence programmedirectionanddecision-making .
• Remainhands-onwithinvivoresearchandtroubleshooting.
• Collaboratewithmultidisciplinaryteamsacrosspharmacology,biology,DMPKandrelatedfunctions.
• Presentfindingsandrecommendationstoseniorscientificleadership.
• Helpdevelopandscalethecompany'spreclinicalcapabilities.
• Ensureresearchmeetsappropriatescientific,ethicalandregulatorystandards.

• PhDorequivalentinpharmacology,biology,toxicologyorarelateddiscipline.
• Strong hands-oninvivo/preclinicalexperience .
• Provenexperiencedesigningandrunninginvivostudies.
• Previousexperiencemanagingoroverseeingascientificteamisessential.
• Experiencementoringanddevelopingscientists.
• Strongscientificjudgementanddatainterpretationskills.
• Experiencetakingownershipofpreclinicalprogrammesorstudies.
• Excellentcommunicationandcollaborationskills.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-pacedbiotechenvironment .
