Role: Procurement Officer REF Contract Length: Until end of March 2027 Location: Hybrid/Bristol – 2 days in office per week IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate Security Clearance: SC requested

Spinwell is recruiting for a Procurement Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROCUREMENT OFFICER

• Develop autonomous sourcing plans, process designs and implementation products.
• Identify suitable use cases for one-off purchases and supplier onboarding.
• Support automation, guided buying, user-interface design, testing and adoption.
• Coordinate Commercial, Digital, Finance and operational stakeholder input.
• Monitor delivery, risks, compliance and benefits, escalating issues and recommending corrective action.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PROCUREMENT OFFICER

• Experience in commercial sourcing, procurement improvement or route-to-market delivery.
• Ability to analyse processes and identify automation, guided-buying and user-interface improvements.
• Experience translating commercial policy into clear, controlled user journeys and products.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, implementation planning and risk-management skills.
• Ability to deliver at pace while maintaining governance, compliance and control.
