We are seeking an exceptional and motivated Specialty Vascular Doctor to join our friendly and supportive surgical team in York, delivering high-quality vascular care across North Yorkshire. Main duties of the job

The principle duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital.
To, at all times, comply with the GMC requirements of Duties of a Doctor
To ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
To undertake duties as defined within the job description in so far as practicable and in agreement with your clinical director.
To be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of any Trust resources that you use and influence, and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
On commencement to ensure personal attendance at the Trust's Corporate Induction.
To participate in the Trust's statutory and mandatory training programme
To be responsible for the clinical management of in and out patients under your care.
To comply with Trust policies and procedures where appropriate.
To ensure that all intellectual property rights of the Trust are observed.

Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

Able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and skill.
Able to critically review and apply research to clinical situations.
Experience in teaching & supervising medical students and junior trainees.

Desirable

Able to organise and manage the department targets.
Understands the wider organisation and understands and values the need for efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

Essential

Has achieved MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
Eligible for full GMC registration with license to practice
Completion of minimum 4-years' in a full-time specialty training programme in General Surgery or equivalent gained on a part-time basis, or other equivalent demonstrable experience and competencies. 2 of which must be in the relevant specialty as detailed in the person specification
European ALS
Minimum of 6 months experience in Vascular surgery
