Scheme Manager

A Newport-based housing association is looking for a Scheme Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of two residential schemes in Abergavenny.

You will provide a visible and approachable presence across the schemes, ensuring residents receive a high-quality housing management service. You will carry out regular wellbeing checks, respond appropriately to concerns and work closely with colleagues and external partners to promote resident engagement and community involvement.

• Organise activities, events and initiatives that encourage community engagement.
• Develop relationships with local organisations and community partners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure schemes are safe, well-managed and welcoming.
• Provide occasional cover at other schemes for holidays and sickness.
• Travel between schemes as required.

About You:

• Previous experience in housing, scheme manager or a similar resident-facing role.
• A good understanding of housing management and tenancy-related responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to resident wellbeing and delivering a positive customer experience.
• The confidence to organise activities and develop community partnerships.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between schemes and other locations may be required.
• The ability and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.

What We Offer:

• £29,139.77 per annum
• 35-hour working week
• 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract
