A progressive and growing law firm in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Commercial & Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding Dispute Resolution team.
This is a great opportunity for an NQ to 2 years' PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to build their experience across a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, working closely with an experienced Partner within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of predominantly commercial litigation matters
Advise on contractual disputes, director and shareholder disputes, partnership disputes and debt recovery
Deal with professional negligence, business torts, construction disputes and contentious property matters
Represent clients through litigation, mediation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution
Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and settlement agreements
Provide practical, commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients
Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales
NQ to 2 years' PQE with experience in commercial litigation
Good knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution
Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions focused approach
Excellent communication and client care skills
