Description
Act as the primary finance partner to designated business units, functions or senior leadership teams.
Build strong, credible relationships with senior stakeholders and become a trusted adviser on financial and commercial matters.
Provide clear financial insight and challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Translate complex financial information into concise, commercially relevant recommendations.
Support business leaders in evaluating strategic initiatives, investment decisions, transformation programmes and growth opportunities.
Challenge assumptions, identify risks and ensure financial implications are fully understood before decisions are made.
Lead or contribute to the annual budgeting and strategic planning process for relevant areas of the business.
Own the financial forecasting process, ensuring forecasts are robust, evidence-based and aligned with operational plans.
Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying key drivers and corrective actions.
Develop meaningful KPIs and performance measures that support management decision-making.
Provide regular financial performance reporting and commentary to senior management.
Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities and ensure these are communicated effectively.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with financial modelling and reporting tools.
The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
A proactive approach to identifying and driving financial improvements.
