Are you a customer-focused professional who enjoys building strong relationships, speaking with clients and delivering an excellent customer experience?

Our client, an established and successful business based in Aldershot, is looking for a personable and proactive Customer Account Executive to manage and support a portfolio of existing business customers.

This is a relationship-focused customer account role, combining customer service, client relationship management and account support. You will become a key point of contact for your customers, getting to know their businesses, understanding their requirements and ensuring they receive a high level of service and support.

This is not a high-volume cold-calling or scripted telesales position. You will, however, need to enjoy speaking with customers and be confident proactively picking up the phone to build relationships, follow up and keep customers engaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
• Act as a trusted and reliable point of contact.
• Make regular proactive calls to customers to maintain relationships and understand their requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the customer journey.
• Understand customers' businesses, buying patterns and product requirements.
• Support customers with product information, quotations, samples and services.
• Follow up on customer enquiries and ensure actions are completed.
• Welcome and support new customers through the onboarding process.
• Re-engage customers who have not ordered recently and understand how the business can better support them.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and develop relationships.
• Encourage customers to make use of available online services and tools.
• Resolve customer queries or coordinate with the appropriate internal department.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Production, Purchasing and Finance.
• Maintain accurate customer information, conversations and follow-up actions on the CRM system.

About You

We would love to hear from candidates with experience in customer service, client services, account management, customer success, customer relationship management, account support or internal sales .

You will ideally have:

• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service .
• Strong client relationship and customer relationship management skills.
• A confident, friendly and natural telephone manner.
• The ability to build rapport quickly and communicate with different types of customers.
• Experience looking after existing customers, clients or accounts.
• A proactive approach to customer contact and follow-up.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• A positive, personable and engaging approach.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to recognise opportunities within existing customer relationships.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with other departments.

Experience within B2B customer service, client services, account management, customer success, distribution, promotional products, print or branded products would be advantageous but is not essential.
