Commercial Property Solicitor

Commercial Property Solicitor - 3+ PQE | Basingstoke, Hampshire (Succession Plan / Partnership Potential)

For years, this firm's commercial property practice has been built, client by client, deal by deal, around one experienced partner. Now, with retirement on the horizon in the next 5 years, that partner is looking for someone to learn the ropes alongside them and, in time, take the reins entirely.

This is a genuine succession story, not a token gesture towards "partnership potential" buried in the small print. You'll work directly alongside a highly experienced commercial property specialist, absorbing years of client relationships, technical know-how, and local market insight, all with a clear, realistic runway towards leading the practice yourself.

The firm itself is a well-regarded high street name with a strong, loyal client base and a relaxed, low-ego culture. No micromanagement, no arbitrary targets, just a team that gets on with excellent work and trusts each other to do it well.

What's on offer:

• Direct mentorship from an experienced commercial property partner, with a genuine path to succession
• A well-established, varied commercial property caseload from day one
• Dedicated assistant support for file opening and post-completion matters
• A relaxed, autonomous working culture built on trust rather than targets
• Hybrid working considered, with a stronger in-office presence expected given the succession focus
• A bonus scheme rewarding billing above 3x salary at 10-15%

This is a rare opportunity for a Commercial Property Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE who's ready to stop thinking about their next job and start thinking about their next chapter. If partnership has always felt like a distant ambition, this firm is offering a genuine, realistic route to get there.
