Lawyer

You will provide high quality, targeted and accessible legal advice across your specific practice area(s) and will work as a valued partner to our clients in order to secure and deliver effective solutions to legal and commercial issues. You will need to be highly experienced and technically proficient in your area(s) of legal specialism and able to work with a high degree of autonomy on complex legal matters. You will seek opportunities to build the Alpaca brands as well as identify opportunities to enhance the businesses of Alpaca and Alt Legal clients.

We don’t like to have to spell this out, but you really need to have the ability to:

• be a credible member of the team, providing support, clarity and insights and updates from your area of specialism
• undertake all tasks associated with role to a consistently high standard
• work in a fastpaced environment with little day to day direction
• be self-sufficient and pro-active
• identify issues and resolve them by looking outside the parameters of the role or task, seeking input from others in the team. We don’t do Silos!
• challenge where appropriate rather than “accept” the norm
• communicate appropriately with the SLT
• understand and communicate the commercial impact of the decisions you make when providing advice to our clients
• handle large volumes of work with multiple demands
• quickly understand our client requirements and respond accordingly in terms of support, advice and solutions
• handle multiple tasks within the framework of the role
• delegate tasks within the framework of the role

The behaviours we want to see are:

• you embrace chaos; being open to new challenges, new opportunities to learn, to evolve, to change and to grow
• you build positive relationships internally and externally
• you work with the team and take responsibility for your delivery
• you are willing to use your skills to work with colleagues on projects outside of your traditional practice area
• you practice and accept radical candour
• you put yourself forward for new challenges
• you balance equally internal and external work
• you love working with and on the unexpected (chaos)
