Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Oldham? Whether you are an experienced educator seeking a fresh challenge or an ECT ready to begin your teaching career, we are working with a number of welcoming and well-established secondary schools across the Oldham area that are looking to appoint dedicated Geography Teachers on both a full-time and part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join schools that are committed to delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to develop a greater understanding of the world around them. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience and the needs of the school. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess and monitor student progress, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
The schools are seeking individuals who can bring energy, enthusiasm and creativity into the classroom. You will have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills and a genuine commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. The ability to make Geography relevant, engaging and accessible to learners of all abilities is essential.
To be considered for these roles, applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Applications are welcomed from experienced Geography Teachers, Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs), and those with recent UK secondary teaching experience. A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, although support can be provided in obtaining one if required.
In return, schools can offer supportive leadership teams, excellent facilities, ongoing professional development opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys. Flexible working options are available, making these positions suitable for teachers seeking either full-time or part-time employment.
The roles are available for immediate starts as well as September appointments, with competitive daily rates and salary packages offered depending on experience, qualifications and the specific school placement.
If you are a motivated Geography Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity in Oldham, we would love to hear from you. Apply today with your updated CV.
