• Managing plant quality, wastage and reductions to maximise sell-through
• Monitoring department performance, including sales, stock, waste and margins
• Planning and prioritising workloads around seasonal peaks
• Making sure the plant area is commercially strong, well-presented and ready for customers
• Taking on Duty Manager/keyholder responsibilities when required

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• Strong plant and horticultural knowledge
• Previous experience within garden retail/plant retail or a similar environment
• Experience leading or supervising a team
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, stock and margins
• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of a department
• Good organisation and communication skills

Why consider it?

• Join an established and highly respected garden centre group
• Real ownership of a significant plant department
• Strong opportunity for development and progression
• Staff discounts across the garden centre, restaurant and leisure facilities
• On-site parking
• Work alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team

If you're currently a Plant Supervisor or Assistant Manager thinking, "I'm ready for my own department", or you're an established Plant Area Manager looking for a fresh challenge, I'd be keen to speak with you.
