Business Development Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the payments and fintech space
• Build and manage strong relationships with merchants, partners, and gateway providers
• Leverage experience with Cybersource, Cardstream , or similar gateways to support payment solutions
• Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and onboarding
• Work closely with internal teams (product, technical, operations, and risk) to deliver tailored payment solutions
• Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets
• Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in payments.

Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Business Development Manager/ Account Manager/ Relationship Manager within payments, fintech, or merchant acquiring
• Hands-on experience working with payment gateways such as Cybersource, Cardstream , or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of card payments, alternative payment methods, and payment processing flows
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and complex stakeholder environments
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience selling to eCommerce merchants
• Knowledge of cross-border payments
• Existing network within the payments or fintech ecosystem.
