Field Sales Executive

Contract Type: Freelance / Self-Employed (Commission-Only)
Compensation: Uncapped Upfront Commission + 5-Year Recurring Revenue | OTE £7,000-£10,000+/month
As a self-employed SumUp Field Sales Partner, you build your own business with the full backing of one of the world’s leading fintech brands. You represent technology trusted by millions of merchants globally while creating a compounding income stream that is directly linked to your ambition and closing rate.
There are no limits on what you can achieve. Six-figure earnings are realistic first-year outcome for fully committed partners. Many partners earn £200,000+ per year, and second-year entrepreneurs are on the path to million-pound businesses. Earnings are tied to performance.
Financial Blueprint (Partnership bonuses)
- Upfront Commission: 50% of the upfront contract value paid immediately upon sign-up (average £500 per merchant).
- Lifetime Residuals: Earn 25% recurring income from the transaction volume of every merchant you sign, paid monthly for up to 5 years. Residuals are enhanced by up to 3× for the first 3 months.
- Hardware & Software Incentives: Additional direct commission on every card reader sold.
- Earnings Benchmark: 40% of active independent partners consistently earn £7,000+/month.
Your Daily Operation
- Fearless Prospector: Prospect a minimum of 30 local SMEs each day via face-to-face visits and outbound outreach.
- Consultative Selling: Analyse each merchant’s payment setup, identify pain points, and present SumUp’s ecosystem.
- Pipeline & Territory Management: Own your territory, manage CRM, and progress merchants from initial conversation to hardware installation.
- Meaningful Conversations: Create at least three sales conversations daily, converting them into 3-5 new partnerships weekly.
- Relationship Building: Become the local payments expert recognised by SME owners.
Critical Requirements – Who We Are Looking For
- Proven Track Record in high-rejection, face-to-face or B2B sales environments (field sales, door-to-door, telecoms, energy broking, merchant services, etc.).
- Hunter mindset; proactive lead generation and advanced objection-handling skills.
- Financial resilience to bridge an initial pipeline-building phase.
- Self-discipline: fully self-directed and does not require daily management.
- Commercial awareness: articulate the value of recurring revenue assets clearly.
