We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of a range of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
Carry out cost planning, cost control, and value engineering to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and meet client expectations.
Advise on procurement strategies and assist with the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents and analysis of bids.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on cost forecasts and project financials.
Assess variations and claims and manage any potential disputes or contractual issues.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and effective project management.
Conduct site visits to assess work and ensure compliance with contracts and budgets.
Assist with the preparation of final accounts and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
Work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.
Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
