An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Home Manager to lead a 41-bed nursing home providing high-quality care for older people in Horsham, West Sussex. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring exceptional care standards, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the home’s operations.
Ensure high standards of person-centred nursing care are maintained.
Supervise, support, and develop care and nursing staff.
Maintain compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities.
Conduct audits and monitor quality assurance systems.
Manage budgets and commercial performance.
Drive occupancy, reputation, and continuous service improvement.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Home Manager role.
Experience managing a residential or nursing care service.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Experience marketing a care home and maintaining high occupancy levels.
Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
