Senior Commercial Property Lawyer – Cambridgeshire

A firm with over 150 staff is currently looking for a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer to work in the Cambridgeshire office.

This long-established regional firm has a strong presence across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. They have grown steadily in recent years, expanding their office network and strengthening their commercial offering. The firm combines a loyal client base with a down-to-earth, genuinely collaborative culture, the kind of environment where senior lawyers can have real influence without getting lost in layers of hierarchy.

We are looking for the individual to come in at a Senior level, such as Senior Associate with further progression prospects to Director and Shareholder. The role would be a very broad base of Commercial Property and also include the supervision of two other Lawyers and three secretaries.

• Established client base
You would be stepping into a practice with long-standing local and regional business clients, developers, investors, SMEs, landowners, and commercial landlords. There’s plenty of work already in place, not a “build your own desk from scratch” scenario.
• Real autonomy and impact
Senior lawyers at the firm are given the freedom to shape client relationships, drive business development, and influence the direction of the department. Your voice carries weight here.
• Broad, high quality work
Expect a varied caseload: acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, development work, refinances, strategic land matters, and the occasional more complex project for larger clients.
• Supportive, stable leadership
The partnership is known for being approachable, pragmatic, and genuinely invested in attracting and retaining strong talent. There is a clear pathway for senior hires who want to progress.
• Balanced working culture
The firm is commercial but never at the expense of people. Most senior lawyers join from larger practices for better balance, more meaningful relationships with clients, and a more enjoyable day-to-day environment with hybrid working.

If you are looking for a role where you can combine autonomy, high quality work, and a leadership team that genuinely values senior expertise, this firm offers a compelling option, especially for someone ready to have more influence than a typical regional or national firm might allow.
