Site HSE Advisor

nexos has an opening for an HSE Advisor for a site‑based role at Sullom Voe Terminal. This position operates on a 2 on/2 off rotation.

The HSE Advisor is responsible for promoting and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations in oil and gas operations. The role supports a safe working environment through proactive hazard identification, training, inspections, and incident management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, company policies, and site‑specific procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Support the implementation of HSE Management Systems.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and job‑specific training to staff and contractors.
• Participate in incident investigations; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure emergency response plans are in place, communicated, and tested regularly.
• Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and spill prevention.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and stakeholders regarding HSE matters.
• Review and contribute to workpack HIRA’s.
