Health & Safety Manager - The Details

• Paying between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Health & Safety Manager - Responsibilities & Requirements

• Leading and developing the Health & Safety framework, policies and procedures
• Assess existing Health & Safety practices, identifying gaps and prioritising improvements
• Supporting operational teams working in high-risk environments, including confined spaces
• Working closely with branch management to embed safety systems
• Develop and manage H&S training programmes, including inductions and refresher training
• Support and manage accident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
• Lead internal audits and support external audits and accreditations
• Contribute to ISO 9001 alignment and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong Health & Safety background within industrial, utilities, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and structured management systems
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing compliance with operational practicality

• Must be approachable and pragmatic - Able to influence rather than enforce
• Comfortable operating in a relaxed but accountable culture
• Must be team-focused, flexible and reliable
• Some travel will be required - must have full driving licence
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are a must!
