Band 5 Senior Staff Nurse
Bolton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Registered Nurse to join our supportive and professional team…
Bolton Hospice’s consultant‑led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff, provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life‑limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care of patients' physical needs, we consider their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. And we support families and close friends, both during illness and in bereavement.
We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to work within the Inpatient Unit at Bolton Hospice. This will be an exciting and rewarding opportunity for anyone wishing to further develop their nursing skills and knowledge within specialist palliative care.
(Unsocial hours enhancements paid in addition to basic salary)
Long day shifts and night shifts would be expected.
As a Staff Nurse working as part of the wider multi‑disciplinary team, you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands‑on, person‑centered care. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service for our patients and their families and carers, through a collaborative team approach. As Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for advising and supporting staff, therefore you will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in the specialty.
To apply, you must be a Registered General Nurse, who is enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for specialist palliative and end of life care. A recognised post‑registration palliative care qualification is desirable, although you will be fully supported in the role if you have limited or no experience with the specialty. You will have access to a range of training and development opportunities and be welcomed as a valued member of an experienced and supportive team.
We offer our employees an attractive benefits package, including 35 days annual leave including bank holidays, rising to 40 days with long service (pro rata for part‑time), generous enhanced maternity package, contributory pension scheme, life assurance, free parking, healthcare cash plan, subsidised meals and excellent training opportunities. We also offer continuity of service from the NHS with respect to pension and holiday allowance.
