  5. Act as escalation point for complex payroll cases
  6. Partner closely with external payroll vendors
  7. Control and Risk Governance
  8. Maintain and enhance payroll control frameworks (checklists, M2M templates, variance thresholds)
  9. Introduce structured exception reporting (e.g. bonus to leavers, unusual quarterly spikes)
  10. Ensure documentation and audit readiness
  11. Support root‑cause analysis for payroll incidents
  12. Drive preventive control improvements, not just reactive fixes
  13. People Leadership and Capability Building
  14. Provide day‑to‑day supervision and coaching to Payroll Analysts
  15. Review and uplift analysts’ input preparation quality
  16. Identify skill gaps and implement refresher training (systems, reporting, statutory logic)
  17. Support workload balancing across clusters
  18. Build reviewer capability across smaller entities (avoid single‑point dependency)
  19. Project and Transformation Support
  20. Support payroll system implementations (e.g., ADP transition, APAAS, DMP integration)
  21. Participate in UAT and process redesign
  22. Ensure new system processes embed robust control gates
  23. Translate operational lessons into scalable process improvements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years payroll experience
  • Experience overseeing multi‑country payroll (EMEA)
