Consultant in Acute Medicine

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Acute Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department.

Our client is an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust providing acute and community healthcare services for 420,000 people across the East Midlands. They work closely with partners in health and social care through the Mid Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Partnership to manage resources, deliver NHS standards, and improve community health. King's Mill Hospital was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, along with Newark and Mansfield Community Hospitals rated Good. Overall, the trust is rated Outstanding for care.

The successful appointee will be expected to:

1. Provide a safe, effective, and efficient service to deliver the best possible patient care.
2. Perform administrative duties related to patient care, department operations, coding, mandatory returns, and data collection for performance management.
3. Willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional, or national levels.
4. Provide clinical and educational supervision for doctors in training, organize and participate in teaching, examinations, and accreditation activities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education, both locally and nationally.
5. Participate actively in clinical audit, clinical governance, and continuing professional development.
