Graduate Building Surveyor – London

Overview:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing, independently owned building consultancies. With 60% revenue growth in 2023, a £6.5m turnover, and over 800 instructions delivered annually, the firm offers the perfect blend of national reach and a close-knit, supportive culture that helps graduates thrive.

Their London office is a key hub of their operations, consistently winning high-profile commercial clients and delivering projects across the capital and South East. You’ll gain hands-on experience from the outset, working alongside senior surveyors across the full breadth of building surveying — in a team known for rapid progression and a strong track record of APC success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting senior surveyors on professional and project-based instructions
• Assisting with building surveys, technical due diligence, and condition reports
• Contributing to dilapidations, party wall matters, and contract administration
• Working across a range of commercial projects, typically £10k–£50m in value
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors as you develop your expertise and confidence

What They’re Looking For:

• BSc/MSc in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited)
• A driven and enthusiastic graduate eager to work towards chartership
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• A team player with initiative and a proactive mindset
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Why Join This Firm?

• Competitive graduate salary with regular reviews and bonus opportunities
• One-to-one mentorship and bespoke APC support from experienced MRICS surveyors
• Immediate exposure to client-facing work and meaningful project responsibility
• Flat structure with direct access to directors and decision-makers
• Hybrid working, vibrant London office, and a collaborative team environment
• Regular social events, away days, and cross-office engagement
• Recently recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024

If you’re looking to start your career in an environment where you’ll be supported, trusted, and given room to grow — this could be your ideal next step.
