Risk & Compliance Solicitor (5+ PQE) – Edinburgh or Glasgow
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys translating regulation into practical guidance and shaping firmwide compliance standards.
What you’ll do:
Advise on professional practice, conduct, conflicts, confidentiality & regulatory obligations.
Develop clear guidance, templates & tools to support compliance across the firm.
Support supervision standards, file reviews & quality assurance.
Lead aspects of regulatory reporting & inspection readiness.
Deliver training and help refine compliance processes.
Contribute to the firm’s client‑facing risk & compliance services, including audits, diagnostics & advisory work.
About you:
Qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE .
Strong background in legal regulation, ethics, risk or compliance.
Excellent ability to turn complex rules into practical advice.
Confident engaging with partners, operational teams and clients.
Commercially aware with experience supporting BD activity.
