General Operative - Long-Term Opportunity at Bitumen Facility in Avonmouth

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for 2 reliable General Operatives to join a long-term opportunity at a brand-new bitumen facility in Avonmouth, working with Colas.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern facility with long-term work available, full training provided and opportunities to progress into senior roles, including Team Leader positions.

Your Role as a General Operative:

• Carry out general operative duties across the bitumen facility
• Support the day-to-day running of the facility and operational activities
• Follow site procedures and instructions to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment
• Work effectively alongside colleagues and site management
• Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules
• Attend and complete all required site training
• Be flexible to work both day and night shifts as operational requirements change
• Maintain high standards of reliability, punctuality and professionalism

What We're Looking For as a General Operative:

• Previous experience in a general operative or site-based role preferred
• No specific qualifications or certificates required - full training provided
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Successful completion of a drugs and alcohol test is required

Shift Patterns:

• Initial shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
• Future night shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm-midnight
• Friday and Saturday off when working the night shift pattern
• A 12-hour shift will be required every 35 days
• Flexibility is essential as operational requirements develop

• 14.50 per hour (PAYE only)
• Weekly pay - reliable and on time
• Long-term, ongoing work with Colas
• Full training provided - no specific certificates required
