Salary: 30,000-50,000 OTE, with uncapped earning potential

Our client is looking for a motivated, commercially driven Business Development Manager to help grow its customer base and expand its presence across key UK markets, with a particular focus on the M62 corridor and Swindon area .

About the Business

Our client provides comprehensive Total Waste Management solutions, helping businesses manage their waste efficiently, cost-effectively and responsibly.

Its services include recycling, general waste management, skip hire and hazardous waste disposal. By bringing these services together, the business helps customers streamline operations, maintain compliance and reduce their environmental impact.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will identify new opportunities, win new customers and develop long-term commercial relationships within your allocated territory.

Working remotely and in the field, you will manage the sales process from prospecting through to negotiation and contract wins.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying, prospecting and securing new B2B customers.
• Building relationships with key decision-makers and commercial stakeholders.
• Developing and managing a sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
• Understanding customer requirements and presenting tailored waste management solutions.
• Preparing proposals, presentations and commercial quotations.
• Researching market opportunities and competitor activity.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and collaborating with internal teams.
• Representing the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry functions.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, developing opportunities and closing deals.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in B2B sales, business development or account management.
• A proven ability to generate new business and build profitable customer relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer needs.
• Confidence managing a sales pipeline, CRM system and sales targets.
• The motivation and organisation to work independently in a remote and field-based role.
• An interest in sustainability, recycling and environmental services.

Experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, logistics or a related industry would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within your territory are also required.
