Get Recruited is partnering with an established, growing provider of contract facilities management services to recruit a Business Development Manager.
With investment in digital marketing, lead generation and modern sales systems, this Business Development Manager opportunity offers a strong platform to build your pipeline and win profitable business.
This position would suit a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, New Business Manager or Business Development Executive with experience selling B2B services and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to signed agreement.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
As Business Development Manager, you'll focus primarily on qualifying and converting inbound and marketing-generated enquiries. You'll also develop opportunities through referrals, networking and selected tenders.
Working with customers across commercial offices, manufacturing, education, logistics, warehousing and retail, you'll understand their requirements and develop service proposals that deliver value for the customer and the business.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Business Development Manager will work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure contracts are accurately priced, profitable and ready for a smooth operational handover.
THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE:

• Qualify inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads, identifying opportunities that match the company's services and commercial objectives.
• Build relationships with decision-makers, understand their priorities and guide them through the sales process.
• Conduct customer meetings and site surveys to assess service requirements, staffing, equipment and delivery considerations.
• Prepare tailored quotations, pricing models, proposals and tender responses.
• Present solutions, handle objections and negotiate commercial terms within agreed authority.
• Convert opportunities into profitable recurring contracts and approved one-off projects.
• Generate additional opportunities through networking, referrals and targeted account development.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, clear next actions and realistic sales forecasts.
• Work with internal teams to validate costs, protect margins and ensure proposed services can be delivered effectively.
• Complete structured handovers covering the agreed scope, customer expectations, pricing and mobilisation requirements.
• Achieve agreed revenue, gross profit and conversion targets.

THE PERSON:

• Experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, New Business Manager, Business Development Executive or in a comparable B2B sales position.
• A proven track record of converting qualified opportunities into profitable contracts.
• Experience managing the full sales process, including discovery, proposals, pricing, negotiation and closing.
• Strong commercial awareness, with confidence working with costs, margins and contract values.
• Confident leading customer meetings, delivering presentations and building relationships with senior decision-makers.
• Organised and proactive, with strong follow-up, pipeline management and CRM discipline.
• Comfortable challenging assumptions and recognising when an opportunity is unsuitable.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
• Experience in contract cleaning, facilities management, outsourced services or recurring service contracts would be advantageous.
