Fabricator Welder – Brierley Hill – £18.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a busy engineering and manufacturing company based in Brierley Hill.

Offering £18.00 per hour, a 40-hour working week and Monday to Friday day shifts , this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator looking for a role with regular weekday hours.

The position is primarily focused on fabrication, fitting and assembly , with MIG welding forming an important part of the manufacturing process. You will work with mild steel, including box section, tube and heavy-gauge materials, taking projects from start to finish and ensuring all work is completed accurately to engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out fabrication work from start to finish using engineering drawings.
• Measuring, marking out and preparing materials accurately.
• Cutting, drilling, fitting and assembling mild steel components.
• Fabricating structures and components using box section, tube and heavy-gauge steel.
• MIG welding fabricated components and assemblies as required.
• Working with steel thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 35mm.
• Ensuring components meet the required dimensions and specifications.
• Inspecting finished work to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised working environment.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder or Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong fabrication skills, including measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling, fitting and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
• Experience working with mild steel, box section, tube and heavy-gauge materials.
• MIG welding experience.
• Experience working with material thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 35mm.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A reliable, practical and hardworking approach.
