Pay Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Ongoing
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Pattern: Flexible and remote working available

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join the Health & Safety Enforcement Team. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of proactive and reactive health and safety enforcement work, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate health and safety complaints and RIDDOR notifications.
• Carry out health and safety inspections and interventions.
• Take appropriate enforcement action where required.
• Manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate case records.
• Provide advice on health and safety legislation and compliance.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant professional qualification, such as a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or NEBOSH.
• Registration with the CIEH.
• Current experience in health and safety enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Experience investigating complaints, RIDDOR notifications and undertaking enforcement action.
• Excellent investigation, communication and case management skills.
