Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Housing Assistant to join their Housing Services team. Reporting directly to the Area Team Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality housing management services while helping to create positive outcomes for customers and communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills looking to develop their career within the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities

Acting as the first point of contact for housing enquiries, providing advice, guidance and support to customers.
Supporting housing applications, allocations, lettings and tenancy sign-ups.
Maintaining accurate tenancy, applicant and housing management records.
Assisting with tenancy management activities, including estate management, tenancy visits and anti-social behaviour case administration.
Supporting rent account management, payment arrangements and former tenant debt recovery activities.
Preparing correspondence, reports and tenancy-related documentation.
Working closely with colleagues, external agencies and partner organisations to support service delivery.
Assisting with customer engagement and community involvement initiatives.
Contributing to performance monitoring, compliance requirements and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong administration and organisational abilities.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
A solution-focused and proactive approach.
Experience working in a customer-facing role.
Previous experience within a busy administrative or office environment.
A commitment to delivering high-quality services and positive customer outcomes.

Experience within social housing, housing management or another regulated environment would be beneficial but is not essential. Attitude, values and a willingness to learn are equally important.
Salary: £25,420 - £40,120 per annum
