English Teacher

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Northampton.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love of reading, writing and literature while supporting students to achieve their full academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Teach English Language and English Literature at secondary school level.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
* Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support their academic development.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
