What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced FLT Driver to join our busy manufacturing operation.

The main focus of this position will be MHE and forklift operation, particularly operating a Combi Forklift to safely move, handle and position materials and products around the site.

Previous Combi Forklift experience is not essential, as training can be provided. However, candidates must have recent experience operating either a Reach Truck or Counterbalance Forklift within the last 2 years and be confident working with MHE in a busy industrial environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is safety-conscious, reliable and comfortable operating forklift equipment as a key part of their working day.

Key Responsibilities as a Flt Driver :

• Operating a Combi Forklift safely and efficiently following training
• Moving and positioning materials and finished products around the site
• Loading, unloading and supporting the movement of stock where required
• Carrying out daily equipment and safety checks
• Ensuring materials are stored and handled safely
• Supporting production and despatch teams with material movements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all site Health & Safety procedures
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production requirements and deadlines are supported

Experience Required as a Flt Driver :

• Recent Reach Truck or Counterbalance FLT experience – candidates must have driven within the last 2 years
• Previous experience working within a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment
• Confident and safety-conscious approach to operating MHE
• Good communication skills
• Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Combi Forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided

Progression Opportunity

Although this is primarily an FLT Driver/MHE position, we are interested in candidates who may have the potential to develop further.

For the right person, there may be an opportunity to progress into a supervisory or team leadership position in the future. Previous supervisory experience would therefore be advantageous, but is not essential for this role.
