We are recruiting on behalf of a leading plant and vehicle fleet maintenance company for the position of mobile vehicle technician in the Maidstone area. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a basic salary of 45,000, plus bonus, overtime, and benefits such as a company van, fuel card, mobile phone, and tablet. The successful Mobile Vehicle Technician will work 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the foundation to work independently, servicing a diverse fleet across the Kent region.

Duties:

Conducting service repairs and maintenance on a broad range of vehicles, including small to heavy vehicles, primarily cars and ancillary equipment
Performing visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacements of worn components such as brake linings
Stripping, fitting, and replacing vehicle components efficiently
Ensuring all jobs are completed within specified deadlines and to high standards
Maintaining accurate report-keeping in compliance with legal and internal requirements
Applying good health and safety practices at all times
Providing excellent customer service and effectively managing your workload in the field

Requirements:

Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally within the motor trade, with specialised knowledge of HGV, plant, or fleet maintenance
Full UK driving licence required for thisMobile Vehicle Technician role
Own set of tools
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and use initiative in problem-solving
