We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver Operative (7.5 Tonne) to join our Civils team, supporting projects across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where no two days are the same, combining driving responsibilities with hands-on site support to help deliver essential infrastructure works.

Vacancy Introduction

As a Driver Operative, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient delivery of civils works by transporting materials, equipment and waste between sites while supporting operational activities on-site. Working closely with Supervisors, Gangers and site teams, you will help maintain safe, organised and compliant working environments, assist with excavation and utility-related activities, and ensure vehicles and equipment are operated and maintained to the highest standards. The role also includes participation in a call-out rota to support emergency and out-of-hours operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Experience driving and operating commercial vehicles, including 7.5 tonne tippers.
• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A strong focus on health and safety and safe working practices.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Groundworks, utilities or civils experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• NRSWA, NPORS Vehicle Marshal, Emergency First Aid or Manual Handling certifications are desirable.
